Each child at school is provided with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a tailor-made school uniform (made of good quality cloth sourced from the capital Phnom Penh) and tailor made by qualified tailors who have been engaged by us for many years<\/li>\n<li>exercise books, pens and pencils for the year<\/li>\n<li>a fully equipped and resourced library powered by solar electricity and including a computer<\/li>\n<li>an annual school excursion with a picnic and educational visits to a silk farm and the Angkor National Museum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Rice4Teachers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order to encourage a corruption-free school where teachers do not solicit funds from their students (a common Cambodian practice) each of the seven teachers is supplied with a sack of rice each month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Support for families where parents are suffering from AIDS\/HIV<\/strong> .<\/p>\n<p>These families are also supplied with a sack of rice each month. This relieves some hardship and allows the children to be freed to attend school. The supply of rice is tied to school attendance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Support for High School students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is necessary to\u00a0support children who have progressed from the local primary school and need to travel further to a High School. Bikes, books and school fees are paid for as necessary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Support for a university student.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re very proud of him! A student from Khvien attending university fills us with much happiness for his future working life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Provision of English language classes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A classroom is equipped specifically for these Saturday classes conducted by skilled English language teachers arranged by Robbie.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our &#8216;team&#8217; here in Australia have met recently to confirm our focus for 2009.
