This month has been busy with activity supporting Khvien village school.<\/p>\n

The monthly rice delivery took place in the first week of the month. Despite the difficulties experienced by members of KILT with loss of rice and milling equipment in the floods, facilitator Karoosh supplied rice from the open market. All teachers and a family suffering from HIV\/AIDS were each supplied with a 50kg bag of rice.<\/p>\n

On the 12th of the month, a Cambodian work colleague of Robbie\u00a0from Sydney, visited the school and donated 10 bags of rice, garlics, fish sauce, salt, sugar and MSG.<\/p>\n

In the third week of the month, R_____________’s school fees were paid. R_________ is being sponsored<\/a> and her fees at an international school are paid, enabling her to learn English.\u00a0 Her fees have been paid through to March 28, 2010.<\/p>\n

Last week, School director, Mr Hon, advised that the school now has 352 students for this new school year 2009\/2010. 207 students from grades 1, 2, and 3 needed school uniforms and we have arranged for each of them to have a tailor-made school uniform. The cloth is purchased in the capital, Phnom Penh, and is more durable, even though it costs more than the locally sourced fabric.<\/p>\n

We’re very appreciative of those this month who have generously given donations to help with ongoing support.<\/p>\n
