Khvien village update

Plans are now well advanced for our time in the village school for the commencement of the new School Year. We arrive there on Sunday, October 1st.

Over the past months children have been measured for their new school uniforms which they will receive when school starts. Each child receives a made-to-measure school uniform as well as pens, pencils, exercise books, etc to equip them for the whole year.

Over the past few weeks our church family and Margaret’s students have been donating new pens, pencils and so on – quite a delivery! We are grateful to Singapore Airlines for their assistance by granting increased baggage allowance. Our arrival should be like our last one in the picture attached. We will be buying exercise books in Cambodia.

We are so grateful for donations that will assist in the project. One donation has supported us in hiring a bus for educational excusrions whilst we are there. Many others helped with funds for uniforms and another donation has allowed us to investigate the possibility of digging many more wells for clean drinking water in the village.

Our vaccinations have been done – we even managed to get cholera medicine this year!

We hope that our next update will be from Cambodia!
