Today we are remitting funds to KILT in Cambodia as they begin to prepare for the next rice delivery early in September.
Each teacher at the school plus a family suffering from HIV/AIDS will receive a 50kg bag of rice. As part of their commitment to providing a model of corruption free rice delivery, they report:
I will try and ensure that we have the weighing machine at the delivery to the school so that we can picture the weight per bag for you so that you know that each bag has the correct 50 KG Amount.
They also advise:
the months leading to the harvest in November are the most expensive months here for Rice
Although it’s annual school vacation in Cambodia, School Director Mr Hon has agreed that the school is still the best place to make the distribution.
Veasna passes on this message from Mr Hon:
On behalf of them, I’d like to say thank you so much
