The school has two lever action wells as well as an open well. At present just the open well is in use – children drop a bucket down it and collect water – in the west we would consider that very hazardous.
Clearly the other two wells are much more desirable and as the children are at risk we asked Mr Hon to arrange quotes on repairing them.
As we left the village, the quotes to hand seemed extravagant and so we left money with Mr Hon to arrange for more quotes but he has sufficient money to meet the cost of repairing the wells.
You may also have seen from photos that the flagpole is in need of painting and so Mr Hon has the money to get it painted.
