Last week Margaret asked Mr Hon if she might take a Grade 1 class to which he readily agreed.
We bought some large mats and puzzles and had a marvellous time teaching the children how to do very simple jigsaw puzzles. The children (and I think the teachers!) had never seen a puzzle and after some hesitation they soon got into the idea. We had groups of children everywhere it seemed and many willing helpers! Apart from Margaret there was Martin, Phath, class teacher Oeun Savon, and even our car driver got into the act!
A lot of excitement for the children as well as learning. Margaret showed Savon how the puzzles worked and the puzzles have been included in teacher resources at the school.
We have in mind getting wooden ones for the school later.
