Following Robbie’s visit, we have linked with local NGO (Non-Government Organisation) KILT.
There are many NGOs operating in Cambodia and KILT focus on the supply of corruption free rice. In a country where rice is the de-facto currency, the supply of rice has become tainted with corruption.
We are delighted to partner KILT in the supply of rice in Khvien village.
KILT employ young people who have been maimed by landmines and the like, rendering them handicapped in some way. Click here.
Our association with KILT follows a similar path to that of our association with a French NGO to make tailor-made school uniforms.
The benefit is the same: the use of our funds is maximised by flowing to an NGO and the material benefits to Khvien School.
As before, it’s our intention that rice being supplied under our programs be distributed from the grounds of the Khvien Primary School.
The first distribution took place last Monday for the Rice4Teachers program.
For us, we receive high grade rice at a genuine weight and for a good price.
For KILT, they are able to demonstrate their commitment to eradicating corruption at the ‘rice level’.
