You may recall that the teachers at Khvien have entered into an agreement that the school will remain corruption free i.e. schoolchildren will not be asked to make any payments for attending school .

How is it going?
From Siem Reap comes this report from Roselette:
Last Saturday, two teachers ask me if you will still give them rice every month. I said yes. They shared to me their concerns. They said, the rice you are giving them every month is a big big help for them because they are earning a little. One teacher told me that her daughter got sick, she needed to go to the hospital so additional expenses. It was difficult for them. When I told them that you love to help, they were very happy and felt encouraged.
Teachers receive one sack of rice at the end of each month that the school remains corruption free.
The teachers have honoured their agreement for the whole of 2009 to date and so last week funds were sent to Roselette for the purchase of the second delivery of rice.
From Roselette comes this happy report:
They want also to send their heartful thanks to you. When we first went to buy the rice, they were waiting and you can see a big smile in their faces when they received the rice.
I got the money and we went to buy the rice this morning. The teachers were so happy to receive it. They went home with smiles in their faces again. They want me to send their gratitude. They said, thank you so much for the rice!
