What are we doing this week?

We’re very happy to see the commitment to the school at Khvien by a number of people.

To give an idea of the type of things being done, here’s what ‘the team’ are doing this week:

In Australia, Robbies preparing for his visit to the school. a pressing issue he will be addressing is the engaging of a new English language teacher. He’s also seeking supporters for Rice4Teachers.

In Cambodia, Roselette is taking the seven teachers to the rice seller to get their supply of rice.

In Australia, Julie is arranging a team to make cookies (“Cookies4Cambodia”) which are then sold in the community to fundraise for the school.

In New Zealand, Rosemary has been fundraising for bags of rice at dinner parties.

Martin and Margaret have been asked to make a presentation to Rotary in August. We need to make a fresh Powerpoint presentation and we are working on a new brochure. We also are seekingĀ supporters for Rice4Teachers. So far we have paid for and arranged for four months’ supply of rice to the teachers.

In Cambodia, Veasna has been liaising with School Director, Mr Hon for us.

Also in Cambodia, Phath has linked us with members of Rotary International who have school support experience in Thailand.
