Today a tailor came to Mr Ouern’s house in the village to measure up each of the teachers for their uniforms.
The teachers here have never had uniforms before but apparently teachers at the better equipped schools all have uniforms – so why shouldn’t Khvein?
This morning the teachers arrived one by one, leaving their classes for a little while and the tailor and his assistant took down the details.
Each teacher is to receive two uniforms but unfortunately we shall miss seeing them – no fashion parade for us to see!
